Our Program
The Emerge TN training program is a unique opportunity for Democratic women who want to run for public office. It is the only in-depth, six-month, 70-hour training program that inspires candidates to run and gives them the tools to win. As a program member, you will be exposed to a variety of campaign and election experts. You will meet an array of dynamic women who hold elected and appointed office. Through Emerge TN, you are given specific opportunities to expand your political network. As an Emerge TN program member, you become a part of a supportive network which includes a national network of Emerge alumnae, Emerge TN board and advisory council members.

Participants meet one weekend a month for six months and receive comprehensive training on the following topics:

- Ethical Leadership
Who Trains?
Emerge TN trainers are comprised of a premiere team of campaign consultants, advisors and staff from across the state and some national trainers. Most of our trainers have been involved in TN politics, state party leaders, past candidates and/or run political consulting firms. They come from backgrounds that span over fundraising, direct mail, field strategy, communications, press management and campaign messaging. They have won races from the city council to the governor’s mansion.
Where We Train
Our signature program rotates across the state of TN. For six months our participants rotate across the state from Memphis, Clarksville, Nashville, Chattanooga and Knoxville. Our rotation allows our women to visit and experience other parts of the state while learning from local leaders about the political process.
